Frequently Asked Questions

When you’re faced with the task of finding care for yourself or a loved one, the number of questions that come up can be overwhelming.

That’s why we’ve made an effort to provide answers to our most commonly asked questions.

At Gondola Group Inc, it is important for us that you make an informed decision about which facility best suits you and your family’s needs and lifestyle preferences.

WHAT AGES ARE OUR RESIDENTS?

Residents of a variety of ages from 55 to 95 occupy each location.  Some of our residents are primarily independent and others require more support. We are here to provide as little or as much care as needed.

WHAT PROGRAMS OR ACTIVITIES ARE OFFERED?

Residents in our homes enjoy a variety of activities including beautician visits, exercises, baking, games, movie nights, crafts, and more.

ARE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES PROVIDED?

While we are not able to offer transportation services ourselves, we are happy to set up rides for activities and/or doctor visits as needed.

WHO PREPARES THE FOOD?

Our staff prepare all home cooked meals. Menus are created with the help of our residents. We do accommodate some special diets such as diabetic, gluten free, or salt free though there is no dietitian on staff.

WHAT SAFETY AND SECURITY MEASURES ARE OFFERED?

We have 24 hour awake staffing, and doors are locked in the evening. Recording cameras are in common areas at all locations. Some locations include door and window locks.

HOW DOES GONDOLA GROUP INC KEEP FAMILIES INFORMED?

Residents' families are kept informed by their preference of phone, email or text. Frequency is determined by the family.

WHAT IS THE RATIO OF STAFF-TO-RESIDENTS?

We have one staff member per 5 or 6 residents at all times both day and night. 24-hour awake staff are always available.

ARE PETS ACCEPTED?

We do accept dogs or cats at the discretion of the owners.  The residents must be responsible for all vaccinations, food and care.

WHAT ONGOING TRAINING DOES THE STAFF RECEIVE?

Staff receive 12 hours annual training per DHS and MN Dept of Health requirements.

HOW OFTEN CAN I VISIT?

Family and friends can visit anytime between 9am and 9pm.  Under special circumstances or during end of life, family are welcome anytime.

WHAT ACCOMMODATIONS ARE PROVIDED?

Gondola Group Inc is required to provide a bed, nightstand, dresser, mirror and a closet.  We encourage residents to bring all their personal furniture and decorations to make it feel like home.

IS THERE ANYTHING NOT PROVIDED?

Gondola Group Inc does not provide any supplies for oral care.  If special soaps or lotions, or special foods are needed, the resident is responsible for purchasing them.
